My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Misty May came to us from a shelter where she was taken in as a stray and very pregnant. She gave birth shortly after arriving and has raised four absolutely adorable pups - being one of the best mamas we have had the privilege of rescuing. Since her pups are all ready to go to a new home, Misty May is now free to find a new home as well.

It's fairly obvious by her "Doggie Diner" dachshund face and body shape that Misty May is a doxie mix. Though she is probably mixed with terrier, her personality is mostly that of a very goofy dachshund who wags so much with the joy of being around her people that her whole body gets involved.

Misty May is not only one of the best mamas we've had, but one of the very best all around dogs. She is playful, attentive, gentle, affectionate, and a joy to be around. When she is happy, her whole body wiggles and she brings laughter and joy to all who she's with - literally.

Misty May is wonderful on lead, and sleeps peacefully in a crate all night but would do great in bed with her person/people all night too. She craves being with her people and, being lap-sized, would love to have a lap to call her own. Misty May gets along well with dogs, big and small, at our house. Cats are fine but she doesn't really "like" them. Misty May learned quickly where to "toilet" at our house and so will learn quickly at her new home as well.

Please contact us at tmabrescue@gmail.com for more information and to ask for an application if you would like to meet and/or adopt her. You won't regret it!
