Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a no kill shelter that usually has around 30 to 35 cats up for adoption. All animals are spayed/neutered. We run strictly on donations and fundraisers. We focus on trying to get owners to spay and neuter their pets. I have volunteers that make trips to a local low cost spay/neuter clinic to transport these animals. Volunteers and donations are always needed.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Adoptions are by appointment only. Normally week days are after 5:30PM and weekends is after 10:00AM.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoption fee is $50 and have an application/contract that must be filled out. Main requirement is if you ever have to give up your pet you must contact us first. For the first 10 days adoption fee is rufundable and after that the animal still comes back to The Rescue Barn but fee is not refunded.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We serve all of Fannin County and sometimes extend to surrounding counties.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carlie, a Ivanhoe Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ivanhoe, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Ivanhoe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ivanhoe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ivanhoe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ivanhoe paves the way for another one to be saved.
