Rusty III (Adoption Pending)'s Story...
Rusty is a 19 month old rough collie looking for a good home. He weighs 58 pounds and will put on some weight as he gets older. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations including canine flu, and micro chipped. He is doing well on his house training. He is pretty active and needs a securely fenced yard to run and work off some of his energy. He has a sweet disposition and cannot get enough attention. He walks well on a leash which also helps manage his activity level.

We require a secure fenced yard, we do not accept "invisible" or electric fences. We will check your fence. All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested and on prevention, on Flea & Tick prevention and micro-chipped. Dentals are completed as needed. You may meet our dogs at Petco on W. 75th Street, just East of Metcalf in Overland Park, KS on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 10 to 2 and the 1st Sunday of the month from 11 to 3 or by Appointment. We DO NOT SHIP our dogs

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty III (Adoption Pending), a Mission Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Mission, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
