Murphy's Story...
Meet Murphy (means Dog of the Sea in Irish), IRISH RED AND WHITE SETTER!
Murphy is 8 years old and still has some puppy playfulness! He weighs about 64 pounds but we are trying to fatten him up a little.
Murphy is SUPER affectionate and presses into you to be sure he is close enough to get loves!! He is quite inquisitive and loves the back yard! He will let you know when he wants to go outside, has had no accidents and stays off the furniture!
Murphy seems to have no fear and is very well adjusted and secure. He is very respectful of the other dogs in his foster home.
and listens well to commands. Murphy loves his crate but does not need to be crated.
Murphy is an awesome happy dog who will make a super addition to any family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy, a Minnetonka Irish Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Irish Setter for sale in Minnetonka, or seeking a Irish Setter dog from a breeder in Minnetonka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minnetonka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minnetonka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Irish Setter breeders who help with Irish Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minnetonka paves the way for another one to be saved.
