Aurora's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.

Aurora's Story...
We would like to introduce you to Aurora. She is a female purebred German Shepherd Dog. We think she is just a month or two past her first birthday. She came to us from the Austin City dog pound, but we have a pretty good idea of who her former owner was, as it was someone who was trying to find a home for their German Shepherd. She is large and gorgeous, but can be a bit skittish in her kennel pen. She will bond quickly with her new owner, but she needs someone with a little patience, and an understanding of the GSD breed will be helpful.

To learn more about the physical and personality traits of the German Shepherd breed, check out their page on Wikipedia (this link will open a new browser window):

Aurora will be spayed 9/17/12 and is also current with vaccinations. We do not know if she is housetrained or not. If it makes a difference for you, assume she is NOT housetrained. Her adoption fee is $95. We’re not going to adopt Aurora as an outdoor dog – there’s too many risks given she can be a little skittish of the unknown. Please e-mail us with any questions or if you’d like to e-mail you our adoption application form in Microsoft Word format.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aurora, a Austin German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Austin, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
