Waterfall's Story...
I came to AWLMC from the Montgomery County Humane Society. I was given up by my owner because she had developed an allergy to me. I am a beautiful dilute calico. I have a very adorable face, don’t you think? I am a friendly girl that can’t wait to find her new home. I am super sweet and affectionate. I like to be near you, preferable in your lap. I get along well with other cats. I love to play too! My favorite toys are mice. I am grazer when it comes to eating and want to eat at my own pace. Please don’t rush me. Come see me today. I was born in 2008.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Waterfall, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
