Bartholomew's Story...
Bartholomew is not a Tree House cat, but is being fostered by Regina who can be contacted at

Bartholomew is a gorgeous, heathy, medium-haired cat who was rescued from a back alley in Chicago's Avondale neighborhood. He was born around 2011, has brilliant green eyes and a 3-inch wide fluffy tail that he loves to swish in the air. Bartholomew is a very mellow and loving guy. Despite transitioning through several new environments in a short time, he continues to greet new people with head butts and purring. He is neutered and microchipped and is current on immunizations. He would be a great addition to just about any household. Contact his foster family at if you would live to give him a forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bartholomew, a Chicago Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
