Bo's Info...

Bo's Story...
Bo is a 2 year old unneutered Pointer mix. Bo was relinquished by owners no longer able to care for him. Bo is a handsome fellow though he has an uncropped tail which makes a loopy end to him but it adds to his personality. His past owners say he's been around many kids from 6 to 13 years old, is good with other dogs (they had 2) and also ok around cats. Bo likes balls and does fetch but doesn't have the whole return to the thrower part down yet. Bo does well in kennel and it appears he is house trained. It's also reported that he hunts upland birds, doesn't bark and is well behaved. Bo appears not to have too much training as he is lacking manners and is a bit of a handful on lead. He is attentive and enjoys handling so should be a good prospect for the right person, some one who understands the breed and has time to spend. Bo is ready for a new home, applications are being accepted, so stop by and meet this great guy...see if he's a fit for your pack.
If you want to apply for Bo click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bo, a Meridian Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
