Tiva's Story...
Hello! My name is Tiva -- the Hopi word for Dancer. I'm timid about lots of things because I didn't have a reassuring friend when I was a puppy. I'm older now, with plenty of intelligence to learn new skills, if you'll have the patience to teach me. My foster mom says I'm "tremendously smart!" I think that's a compliment!

I love other dogs and I live to play! I hope I'll find a home with at least one other dog. More's ok, if they are kind to me.

I bond quickly with someone I love and trust, and wish for a human who can spend lots of time with me! Pretend I'm a puppy and teach me everything!

I'm spayed and vaccinated and my adoption fee is $125.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiva, a Santa Fe Australian Kelpie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie for sale in Santa Fe, or seeking a Australian Kelpie dog from a breeder in Santa Fe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Fe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Fe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Fe paves the way for another one to be saved.
