Ruka's Story...
Well, here I am in my fourth home….and it’s a foster home. I just don’t get it. I try to be a good girl. My foster mom says I’m a good girl. I’m a fast learner, mind well, house broken, love to be petted, love to play ball, love going for walks and riding in the car. What more could you want? I’m perfect!
That being said there are some things we need to get straight. I don’t like baths. And while we’re being honest….I don’t share my stuff either. Other dogs are OK but I need to be the center of attention, especially with my people.
OK. Maybe I’m not perfect. But if you love me and treat me well I will think you’re perfect.   And I’ll try really hard to be the best girl so that you will want to keep me forever. That’s all I want….a forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruka, a Scottsdale Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
