Cody (a.k.a. Heart Thumper)'s Story...
New Bio 08/13/12: Hi, everyone. It's me Heart Thumper, only now they call me Cody. I was adopted but it didn't work out so UYR came to my rescue again. I'm 18 mos old now and foster mom says cute as a button. My back legs have gotten much better I used to drag them and get twisted up in them but now with physcial therepy I have control of them and can walk almost normal. I'm not scared to walk on the tile either cuz I know I won't slide anywhere. Foster mom say's I'm pretty matted under my long hair so I will have to be shaved. I'm told Saturday is my big day. I get to go to the spa and then the doctor. Foster mom says it will be a lot of fun. Well that is my update for now. We will let you know what happens at the vet Saturday and will update my pics after my spa day. If you have any questions please feel free to contact my fostermom at the address below.

Thanks for reading about me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cody (a.k.a. Heart Thumper), a Plano Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Plano, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Plano.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plano already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plano breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plano paves the way for another one to be saved.
