My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reese is a very happy boy who loves everyone. He bonds very quickly to his person and is a loyal, affectionate companion. He is a young dog and would definitely need further obedience training but he is intelligent and learns quickly. He has excellent recall and never strays from his person even off leash. Reese weighs approximately 50 lbs.

Reese is a mutt and having come from a shelter we really don`t know what his breeding is. He has the face of a Boxer but some believe he may be a Ridgeback mix. Regardless, he is a handsome boy with a very unique look.

Reese is friendly with everyone. His favourite things to do are run at the park and play with his foster sister Angel. Although he was afraid of the sights and sounds of the city at first he has now become desensitized to it all and is a regular face at the dog park. He has been allowed to roam free in his foster home without issue. He is fully house trained and would be great in a home with a second dog to play with or older children that would like to take him to obedience classes. Reese is a strong dog like most Boxers and has the personality to match, meaning he is a clown. At this point he is just an easy-going boy that is taking everything in his stride.

Here is what his foster dad had to say:

He is a very loveable dog and definitely likes to be wherever his person is. When we are out walking he is always right at my side. Having said that however, he is fine when left alone in my apartment. I do not crate Reese when I go out leaving him free roam in the house and he is never a problem. He did chew up one old plastic container but other than that he has been fine. He is very clean and fully house trained.

Reese is a very affectionate and just loves to cuddle. I think he has been starved for attention and is now making up for lost time. He bonded to me very quickly and is happy to just be doing whatever I want to do. He is friendly with everyone we meet on our walks and has shown no shyness around children or any people. He would like to chase squirrels and I am not sure how he would be around cats as I don't have a cat in the home. I live in an apartment and he is very quiet in the home only barking when my dog barks at something.

I think Reese would do well in just about any situation as long as his new family is willing to continue working with his socialization and some further training such as how to walk nicely on a leash. Due to his wanting to be with people he is very eager to please and learns very quickly.

If you would like to give Reese a good home, please submit an adoption application for consideration.
