Foxy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Foxy's Story...
Foxy is a smallish (about 35lbs) "dingo" type 2-year-old dog who came into the city shelter as a "stray." Foxy (like her name implies) is extremely INTELLIGENT, GENTLE, easy to walk, quiet and seemingly housebroken. A little timid in new situations, Foxy learns quickly and responds well to gentle handling. Due to a faulty evaluation at the shelter by an incompetent staffer who is afraid of dogs, Foxy did not make it into adoptions and can only be spared from Euthanasia, if rescued. We are urgently seeking a Foster or Adoptive home for this gentle, sweet and extremely BRIGHT dog. The situation is DIRE. Please call us IMMEDIATELY if you can temporarily foster Foxy or would be interested in a possible Adoption. (212) 427-8273. Foxy is a true gem, who like so many other shelter animals has been unrecognized and misevaluated. We now have to desperately work to save her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foxy, a New York Collie/Pharaoh Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Pharaoh Hound for sale in New York, or seeking a Collie/Pharaoh Hound dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Pharaoh Hound breeders who help with Collie/Pharaoh Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
