Gordy's Story...
Meet Gordy, an adorable boy with beautiful russian blue coloring. While he is very sweet and playful, he came to us somewhat shy. He has really blossomed in his foster home and loves to roll over on his back and stretch his back legs out for tummy rubs once he trusts you which only takes a few minutes. He is a very cuddly boy and his purr motor starts to rev the second he relaxes in your arms or lap. Gordy is also very animated making little chirping noises when jumping in to your lap or on and off the furniture. He has a gorgeous plush, soft coat which makes for enjoyable petting. He would do best in a quieter home and he would love a home with a friendly cat. He's also fine with gentle dogs once he gets to know them. Although he loves his foster mom, he would really like a home of his very own! Gordy's estimated date of birth is 6/19/12 and his adoption fee of $115 includes his vet exam, distemper combo vaccines, rabies vaccine, fecal exam, dewormings, flea preventive, FIV/FeLeuk test (neg.), microchip and neutering.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gordy, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
