GLENDA's Story...
Hi! Thanks for giving me some attention! I'd like you to know that I've already been spayed or neutered. At Animal Friends, dogs and cats also leave fully up-to-date on shots and microchipped. All I need now is to find someone who will love me. Please ask to meet with an adoption counselor, so we can be properly introduced and talk about what kind of pet you're looking for. We can discuss whether you're looking for a lap pet or a social butterfly, an 'only pet' or a furry 'sibling' for kids or other animals. Glenda loves to please and is very sweet.
She likes to be near her favorite volunteers and has bonded quickly with them. She gets very excited when they approach her kennel to take her for a walk but calms down quickly once she is leashed up and outside. She loves all of this new-found affection and attention which is understandable considering her past. Glenda and her siblings were confiscated from a neglectful situation where they were living outside without water, food and with very little shade/protection. They relied mostly on neighbors for their food and lived in small confined areas.
Glenda is smart and learns quickly. She has spent some time on our agility course and learned all but one piece in 30 minutes. If there was a canine version of the Olympics, we would sign her up!
Glenda likes spending time in our play yards, loves to go for long walks and is very good at walking loosely on the leash. We think she would be a great companion for someone who enjoys hiking, jogging and living an active lifestyle.
