Gretel's Story...
Gretel-German Shepard/Lab mix female puppy

Gretel is about 6-8 mo. of age, found recently in a high kill shelter in grave danger of losing her young life before it hardly began. Gretel is a beautiful puppy. She weighs 40# already so will be a good sized dog when all grown up. Gretel gets along great with the other dogs at her foster home, and doesn't seem interested in the cats. She likes all sizes of people and seems to have a gentle, quieter nature. She's content to let life come to her, not an alpha personality, she would easily
fit into a house hold with other dogs.
Her adoption fee is $275 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gretel, a Germantown German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Germantown, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
