Lucy's Story...
So glad to be here in RI...thank you for looking at me! I am the sweetest little Terrier mix who just would love to cuddle with you! I was in an overcrowded shelter in Louisiana, and was frightened by all the noise! Lucky for me, that nice rescue lady came to get me. She cared for me (and really thought I was so sweet!), vetted me, then helped to transport me to RI to a licensed rescue. At that rescue, I was treated successfully for Heartworm. I would be fine in a home with another non-aggressive dog. I am fine with cats, and older, respectful (only!) children are all right too. My fee of 375 covers all vetting to date, spaying, transport, an exam by a RI vet and a collar and blanket too! Please ask about me if you are in RI, eastern NY or CT, Maine, Cape Cod, or are near the Boston or Worcester (MA) areas. Please call Judy at 401 640-0082 or at 401 647-0513 with any further questions...would LOVE a fur-ever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Foster Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Foster, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Foster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Foster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Foster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Foster paves the way for another one to be saved.
