Sandy's Story...
This adorable buff tabby kitten is Sandy. She is about 15 weeks old. She was rescued at a young age and was raised in a foster home with other cats and kittens. She was a little shy when she was rescued, but she is very friendly now. Sandy is very playful with other kittens, but she loves to be pet. She has a lot of energy and would do best with another cat to play with. She's already been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. The adoption fee is only $40 and allows us to help more cats. You may see her at the Weatherford PetSmart Adoption Center, located at the shopping center at I-20 exit 408. Call 817-598-0702 for directions and hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a Weatherford Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
