Mattie's Story...
Mattie is a special needs Maltese. He is totally blind.. He was saved from death row the day he was to be put to sleep. They put him at 7 years old, but the vet thinks that he is much younger. It seems that he recently went totally blind because he still stumbles trying to find his way. He is such a sweet boy and no trouble at all. He needs a home where he can live out the rest of his life. He recently had to have one of his eyes removed because there was too much pressure from the glaucoma that he was in excruciating pain. He has now fully recovered and ready to go to his new home! Please contact A Forever Home Animal Rescue if you can open your home and heart to him. He deserves it and will be so grateful.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mattie, a Clermont Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Clermont, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Clermont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clermont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clermont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clermont paves the way for another one to be saved.
