Here's what the humans have to say about me:
NANUK was brought to her current foster mom, who is a vet tech, at only 2 weeks of age...barely alive and could hardly breath. This poor baby had some type of trauma causing her lung to collapse and chest to fill with fluid. They tapped her chest at the Hospital and her foster momma bottle raised her from there.
Fast forward 14 weeks, NANUK doing well and is a happy healthy puppy. She approx 16 ...weeks old UTD on vaccines .
Maremma sheepdogs are bred to protect livestock (sheep mostly) from predators. NANUK would most likely do best in a farm environment although, she is doing just fine in a suburban landscape. Since she is a working breed, NANUK would require a large yard for her to 'work'.
NANUK will do well with other household pets as she lives in her foster moms zoo. She has no issues and is almost completely housetrained (impressive for a such a young baby!). NANUK also gets to take trips to a farm and she does great off leash and comes when called.
Maremma sheepdogs are said to require a firm leader, so NANUK may not be suitable for an inexperienced dog parent.
