My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Sargent York. I am a Puppy Mill Yorkie. I have no idea
how old I am because time means nothing when you spend all your time in
a cage. I have been slowly learning that humans can be kind, from the shelter
that took me in, and United Yorkie Rescue who have me placed in a foster
home. I was bathed before going to my foster home, because my coat was
covered in urine and feces, the smell was so bad my Foster mom had to give
me a vinegar bath to get it out of my fur. My hair had to be clipped off because
I have never been brushed. My foster mom cried when she saw how thin I am.
She has been hand feeding me several times a day to help put some weight on.
My foster mom takes me everywhere she goes because I get upset when she leaves
me alone right now. I have 4 teeth left, and they will have to be pulled my Foster
mom thinks. I will go to see the Doctor on the 28th, my foster mom will know
more about my age and health then, but she wanted me to say hello now, so that
people know that I am here, even if I am not ready to be adopted. I can use lots
of prayers if you have some to spare. I am so happy to know that humans can be
kind, so happy to know how nice it is to sleep in a soft bed, and be warm. I am
so happy to feel my Foster moms kisses on my head and face, and her soft voice
telling me that I will never be locked in a cage again, and that she loves me, and
others will love me too. I asked my Foster Mom if this was Heaven, she said no
this is Urbandale Iowa!
