To infinity and beyond - - that's how much Buzz loves life!!! But it may not have always been that way: he was found as a stray foraging for food in a dumpster when a kind passerby just couldn't leave him there. She took him home and he adjusted to the good life instantly!! Buzz is being fostered in an active household with kids and dogs, and he LOVES the excitement!! He loves to play with other dogs and he loves kids!! He absolutely LOVES baths and will just lay down while you bathe him. Buzz has the sweetest personality and never misses the opportunity to snuggle, he is definitely a loverboy!!! We think Buzz is between 7- 10 months old, he weighs around 30lbs with some more growing to do. We have no idea what his true mix is - - a "Mini- Lab" perhaps?? He is crate-trained and almost completely housebroken and will whine at the door when he needs to go out. If you can be Buzz's superhero, please visit www.pinkshelter.com for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting AND neuter included in his $300 adoption fee. Buzz is in Arkansas and transport fee is additional $140. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE.

About Our Rescue Group...
Based in Westport, CT, The Little Pink Shelter was started by two friends united by breast cancer and their love of dogs. Their battles with breast cancer behind them, these women joined forces to help shelter dogs win their fight for a second chance at life. Today, The Little Pink Shelter is directed solely by Holly who works closely with select shelters and rescues in Arkansas, where too many wonderful dogs are put down because of lack of space. Since founding The Little Pink Shelter, Holly has placed more than 1000+ dogs and puppies into loving homes.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We do not have a facility in Connecticut, so you can only visit The Little Pink Shelter on the internet. Our dogs and puppies are usually fostered in the south and the overwhelming majority of them are adopted out before they arrive so they can go right home after transport and begin bonding with their new forever families! Check out the "Love Fests" Albums on our Facebook Fan Page!
We are always in search of short term foster homes up here in Connecticut and the surrounding states!!! If you're not ready for a full 15+ year commitment, or if you have always wanted to help in some way, please consider short-term fostering a dog or puppy for us! Write us for more info!
Our Adoption Process...
The first step in the process is submitting an online application located through a link in each pet's description, or from our website at www.pinkshelter.com under the "How to Adopt" tab. Whenever possible we like to begin review with a vet reference. After that, we will be in touch to set up a lengthy phone interview where each of us has the opportunity to ask all our questions of the other. Home visits are at our discretion. Once approved, there is a contract and transport is arranged if necessary.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
New England, Tri-State and Mid-Atlantic

Why Adoption is a Great Option

*Buzz - PENDING, a Westport Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Westport, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
