Dixie 6D4A's Story...
Dixie is a sweet baby girl who came to us when her previous owner could no longer care for her. She is young, only being about 3 or 4 months of age. She is a Sheppard/lab mix and full of energy! She still loves to chew, so some chew toys are necessary! She has yet to meet a stranger, and always greets them with a wag of her tail! She has lived with another dog and even a cat, so it does not face her at all. She loves kids, too! Being young, she still needs to go thru some training to mold her into the best dog yet! If you are looking for an active lady, Dixie is here waiting for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie 6D4A, a Columbus Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
