Benjamin's Story...
This is Benjamin! He's a very friendly Shepherd/Chow mix that's only 2 years old. Ben is an affectionate boy that would love to be adopted into a loving home. He likes other dogs but has never been around cats. Benjamin lived in a home without children. That's not to say he doesn't like them. He loves rides in the car and is house trained. If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and you are interested in adopting a Friendship dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benjamin, a Elyria Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Chow Chow for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Chow Chow breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
