Mary Lu's Info...
| Breed: | Labrador Retriever/Great Dane Mix | Color: | Black | Age: | Young |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Female |
Mary Lu and her eight siblings were piled into a cardboard box. The box was then taped shut and left on the side of a gravel road on a stifling hot, humid day. The puppies struggled until they tipped the box over, breaking the sealing tape, allowing them to escape. Nine puppies came pouring out of the box oven. They scampered for cover in the wooded brush on the side of the road. When cars came by, the braver scouts of the bunch would appear out of their protective bunker to report back if passersby were friend or foe. Some people who passed by noticed the puppies and emailed to report their discovery to us but said they couldn’t take them in. So Faithful Friends went to the location and found the puppies. Some were very scared and took time to rescue. Gus and his sister Mary Lu are together in a foster home. Mary Lu is playful but a little shy. She watches her brother then if he is having fun she will join in. . Mary Lu is ready to have her forever, loving, safe home.
Rescue Group Info...
Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, Inc is a non-profit organization commited to helping our community become a place where animals are treated with kindness and respect. Further, we want to be a voice for the welfare of animals in our community through various avenues. Our goal is to build an adoption center for the Neosho, MO community in order to benefit the abused, abandoned and neglected domestic animals in our community.
People
The organization is comprised of volunteers who meet nearly weekly to organize events in order that we may serve the community successfully. There are many different opportunities to volunteer and donate time or financial gifts. If you are at all interested or know someone who would like to support our efforts, please contact us.
We typically host adoption events on the first Saturday of every month. All other opportunities to meet our pets are done by appointment only.
If you are interested in one of our adoptable pets; first you must fill out an adoption application. Upon review, FFAA members will screen your application, a meet and greet for you and the pet will be set up. If there are no reservations on either party, the adoption contract will need to be filled out and signed. There is an adoption fee for all animals to help cover veterinary care prior to placement.
We are out of Neosho, MO in southwest Missouri. We strive to help those in need in Newton and McDonald Counties. We do not currently have a facility for holding animals, so we rely on volunteer foster homes.
