Zipper's Story...
Zipper

Est. DOB: April 19, 2012
Description: DSH Gray/Brown Classic Marble Tabby
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Zipper is a beautiful classic marble tabby who loves to run and play – and thinks running up and down the stairs is great fun! She and her sister, Button, are very playful with each other and other cats as long as the other cats tolerate them. Zipper is a little shy but once she’s held settles down quickly for some loving and petting – although like a typical kitten, she does get squirmy after being held for too long.

Like her sister, Zipper just needs some extra love, attention, and a little patience so she can fully come out of her shell and blossom.

Zipper and Button were dumped in the country and a kind person took them in and cared for them until a rescue could take them.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zipper, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
