ROXIE. Beware! There is something awful out in the people world called Cancer. I don't know what it is but it has made my Mommie very sick and now she has been taken away from me. I've been by her side throughout and have done everything to make her feel better but it just hasn't worked. I am a good, sweet, loving girl and I don't understand what has happened. Can you help me? I have been told I am pretty and well behaved, and am just 4.5 years old. I am non-aggressive with other dogs and am frightened of some men. I just need someone to be a little patient with me. Please come meet me and help me through this rough patch.
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $350, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
