Gizmo's Story...
Gizmo was found wandering a neighborhood. He was picked up by a person who kept him on a chain on the front porch for a little over a week before deciding his owners weren't going to look for him and it was time to take him to the pound. We couldn't let that happen, so here he is! Gizmo spent his first night inside and didn't bark once! He has clearly been an outside dog so we are working on housetraining now. He learned to use the doggy door (if you put the flap up). Gizmo is a sweet little boy who would make a perfect lap dog! Update: Gizmo is housetrained and neutered! Now all he needs is a loving forever family. Gizmo has been living with two really big labs and a boston terrier. He gets along great with all of them, but he wants all of his humans attention and snuggling or he gets really jealous and aggressive. Gizmo is terrified of little kids so a home with kids is not an option.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gizmo, a Glenpool Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Glenpool, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Glenpool.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glenpool already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glenpool breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glenpool paves the way for another one to be saved.
