RUBY's Story...
Meet Ruby the 5 yr old female Boxer mix. She thinks that she is a huge lap doggie even though she is about 85 pounds. She loves attention, watching tv and cuddling on the couch. The hardest part of trying to get some good pictures of her was that she always laid on her back trying to get a belly rub so we could not get many other views of her. She loves to play and loves to be around people with lots of attention. She prefers a home without other dogs and with kids over 12 yrs of age because when she plays she doesn't realize how big of a girl she is. She is housebroken and does not require being in a cage when your gone because she will just take a nap and wait for you to get back. She does require a fenced yard so she is able to play when she wants to get some energy out. Her adoption fee of $125 covers her spay, microchip, heartworm test, rabies and distemper vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting and ready to give her a loving home fill out our adoption application on our website at www.atlbrescue.com and we will contact you when your application is reviewed. Thanks for looking to adopt and save a life!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RUBY, a Morris Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Morris, or seeking a Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Morris.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Morris already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Morris breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Morris paves the way for another one to be saved.
