My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 10/01/12: Maya came through her surgery with just a bit of trouble - she lost 14 teeth! Once they actually got into her mouth, they saw exposed roots, broken teeth and severe dental damage. It has only been a few days since her spay and dental - Maya is now running around and chewing on bones! I am so glad that she did not lose her ability to smile! She loves to run up to greet you with a big smile - it sure is a wonderful way to enter the room :) Maya will need to stay with me for another week and then will be able to go to her forever home. If you can help with her care, she would sure appreciate it! Thanks!

Initial Bio 09-21-12: Maya is a very cute 6lb female yorkie who is looking for her forever home. When Maya first arrived, she was unable to take more than 1 or 2 steps. The vet determined that she had been kept in a cage that was so small that she never really had to use her rear legs. Well, a few good meals and lots a love later, Maya is now walking quite a bit! She is very sweet and has plenty of kisses if given the chance. Maya desperately needs a dental where it is not expected that she lose many teeth - fingers crossed! After her dental and spay, Maya will be ready to go to her forever home. If you are looking for a devoted family member who already knows how to smile(!), look no further, Maya is the one for you!

The best home for Maya has a fenced in yard and a person to love. Because of her size, please no children under the age of 12. Thanks!
