Frankie's Story...
Frankie is a classic 'sato,' the slang term puertoriquenos use for a 'street dog,' abandoned on the island or a beach, dumped without remorse, left to be tortured by marauding teenagers, or to die a slow death. He is a mixed breed, probably with some hound as he loves to sniff everything including breezes, and some terrier as he loves to dig in the woods and see what's there. But mostly Frankie is a classic 'sato' because like those rescued from certain death, he recognizes his rescuers and enjoys life more than most dogs.
