Prissy's Story...
Hi! My name is Prissy and I am a sweet Yorkie girl who has lived nearly 11 years in a cage and then I was sold at an auction at advertised as “still a good producer of puppies” by my breeder. My little 6 lb body is worn out from having litter after litter, at least twice a year for 10 years. All of my teeth rotted and fell out but I am really enjoying the soft food I get now. I am so lucky that a nice lady bought me and now I have what I should have had all of my life. A soft bed, kind hands, good food, I’m clean and I know my forever home is coming very soon. I need a quiet home with no children and a stay at home parent who will give me lots of love and attention. If you have been waiting for me, please ask for me on your application to www.breederadoptions.org.

Love, Prissy 091612-20

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prissy, a Rifle Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Rifle, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Rifle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rifle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rifle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rifle paves the way for another one to be saved.
