3 Spayed Pigs!'s Story...

**This information is current - when you email you can rest assured we will email back within 24hrs., but usually within an hour of receiving your email!**The rescue support donation is not for the 'purchase' of a dog, but rather to cover the medical and other costs of all dogs in our care. Shelter support donations are NOT NEGOTIABLE for that reason. Please respect that and do not email us to ask. Without ongoing support and adoption fees, our rescue WILL CEASE TO EXIST!**No phone calls, EMAIL ONLY, AlphaMom33@aol.com to get an application, thank you for understanding.**

**These dogs are in foster homes, not a shelter setting; therefore we only accept appointments for those reasonably sure they WILL adopt the dog for which they are applying.**

These are Pot Bellied Pig PIGLETS that just turned 2yrs. of age!

These piglets parents were 'bred' carelessly, but thankfully surrendered for the purpose of spay/neuter prior to rehoming.

Pot Bellied Pigs are in a sorry plight, they are often sold as 'pocket pigs' when infants, but in truth there is no such thing; they all have the potential to reach 50-80 lbs. and sometimes more, and often don't make the best housepets, at least not without a LOT of work and dedication. Many pigs wind up in rescues and sanctuaries due to this - owners are simply unprepared for the size and amount of work involved in owing them.  That coupled with the fact they are a novelty pet makes for a disastrous outcome for many of these poor unfortunate souls.

Please be pig experienced or willing to study and learn, and approved to have pigs - check with your local ordinances first!

These pigs will only go to home owners, who plan to keep the pig for life. They are not to be given up when the 'new' wears off, so plan to keep them for life!

The piggies need a bit of work to become more tame but they have a good foundation, and love to be fed (which is when we handle them most), and are inquisitive!

They are all healthy and happy, and spayed and ready for homes of their own!

Please email us to ask about adoption. There is a rescue support donation of $150 per pig to offset our expenses (spay surgeries) in preparing them for adoption.  Discount of $50 per pig if you take all three!

**One final note - pigs do best when living with other pigs UNLESS you are making the pig a housepet and have it around you all the time.
