I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Normally at Ahimsa they let us dogs up for adoption tell our own stories but my foster mom is afraid I won't relay how awesome I am so here are her words:
Bailey is the most awesome dog ever! She is the perfect companion dog. She loves to be in your lap and by your side 24/7. She is small enough to go anywhere but big enough for small children to play with. In fact, she not only LOVES children, she will seek them out to play with them herself. Currently, there is a 4 year old and a 10 month old in the house and she adores them. She lets them crawl all over her and even goes to lay down by the baby when possible.
Bailey loves to have a rawhide chew and will occupy herself for hours with one. She has her own special collar and leash that she recognizes and can almost put on herself. She loves to go for walks and to play in the yard with the kids and other dogs.
Bailey is house trained but I haven't found her "tell" yet to let me know she needs to go out. I just take her out about every 4 or 5 hours and she does fine. She hasn't torn up anything or got into any trouble when I leave the house. She is happy to stay in a crate or be loose in the house.
This angel loves to sleep with you too! She curls up right where a stuffed animal would go and sleeps all night. She doesn't bark excessively and mostly ignores what is going on outside such as cars or other barking dogs.
I find myself daily asking why a family would surrender her to the shelter. She is so perfect! If it wasn't for having so many other dogs and wanting to help more dogs, I would surely put my name on this one to keep! She is such an angel. I promise you, one meeting with sweet Bailey and you will fall in love!
Bailey does need a fenced yard because she tends to wander off if unattended.
So, there you have it folks - I am the perfect pooch! So, who's gonna take a look at me first??? I bet there won't be a second!
