Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sammy comes to us due to difficult life circumstances and is looking for a new family. He gets along well with people and with dogs, but not with cats. Sammy is house and crate trained, used to a collar and leash, and has learned the commands sit, stand stay, lie down, leave it, and come. He enjoys car rides, but his tummy does not, so it is best to ride on an empty stomach. Sammy is a very loving dog who has lived in both house and apartment and is adaptable to either.
You will find that Sammy lives to please you most enthusiastically! He can be protective, and will bark when the doorbell rings. Sammy is not a fan of thunderstorms and loud noises; however, he does better with them if he is inside the house and not in his crate. He may howl a bit during a storm.
Sammy loves to eat and may gulp down or guard his food. He loves toys and chew toys, but has a tendency to ingest parts of them, which can result in stomach upset. Sammy is a bit odd in that he will eat cloth, so he is better without bedding material.
Because Sammy is so adaptable, outgoing and obedient dog, he could easily become the perfect companion. If you live alone, he will gladly offer you his protection when things go bump in the night. Please stop by to meet Sammy, and you may just find your best friend!
