Meeko's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Meeko's Story...
Meet Meeko. He's a 15 year old, 18 pound shweenie (shih tzu / dashchund mix). Meeko is up to date with vaccinations as of April 2012, but has not been neutered, which we will have done before adoption. Meeko is heartworm negative, has been on monthly prevention & has a slight heart murmur. He knows basic commands, is leash & crate trained and housebroken. Meeko prefers women & seniors & does not get along with children (too busy for him). Meeko has become more disagreeable with the younger dogs in the family so his owner wants Meeko to have a good home where he can finish his life without the stress of other dogs. Being an older guy, Meeko sleeps a lot, but does love to be petted. Do you have the perfect home with no children or other dogs where Meeko can live out his golden years? $100.00 rehome fee. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meeko, a Baton Rouge Shih Tzu/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Dachshund for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Dachshund breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
