I'm Gus's brother—we look a lot alike, except that his hair is longer! Gus and I were adopted by a nice family who really loved us, but one of their little boys was very allergic, so they had to bring us back to AnimaLovers. We were all very sad – but Gus and I are hoping another great family will take us home! We loved the little kids in the family, and would really like it if our next family has them, too. I’m more outgoing than Gus, and will probably get comfortable in my new home a little more quickly than he will, but when we I get to know you we’ll both sit on your lap and sleep on your bed at night if you’ll let us. We’re pretty mellow guys and like to just be with you. We also enjoy hanging out with other cats – especially each other. It would be so great if we could go home together! AnimaLovers was founded in 1995 by a small group of friends who wanted to provide needy cats and dogs in the Capital District of New York with a better way to find their way to safety and new lives. As of 2011, AnimaLovers is serving cats, only. AnimaLovers's mission is to:
* To provide housing, veterinary care, and adoption for unwanted, abandoned, injured, or stray cats;
* To educate adopters, as well as the general public, about the health and training needs of our companion animals;
* To promote spaying and neutering as an efficient and humane means of animal population control; and
* To advocate for legislation that will prevent cruelty to animals.
In addition, AnimaLovers has expanded beyond the boundaries of cat and dog rescue and adoption to meet the needs of other animals as well by creating programs to help families keep their companion animals healthy by providing low cost spay/neuter services and emergency veterinary care.

Our adoption fee for each of our cats and kittens is $85. Call 518-448-5468 to learn if there are any special adoption fees.
