Lucky's Story...
I'm Lucky...but lately my situation hasn't been living up to my name. I was pulled out of a potentially dangerous living situation with my best mate, Priscilla, and am now in boarding while I await my new family.

I'm pretty young, about a year and a half..and I really need someone to help me find my confidence. I'm kind of shy and the idea of adoption events scare me, so it's hard for me to get exposure. I'm sure if you met me, you'd like me. I would do really well in a quiet, stable home, where someone could work with me and teach me that not all people are scary.

If you can't adopt me, but have been thinking about trying out fostering, I'm your guy. If you'll take a chance on me, I promise to give you my best. Contact my friends at westsiderescue@gmail for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a Fresno German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Fresno, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Fresno.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fresno already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fresno breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fresno paves the way for another one to be saved.
