Ellie May's Story...
Ellie May was to be shot by her owner because she was no longer wanted. She was living a miserable life on a chain and was a bag of bones. Our rescue was contacted by a caring man who begged us to save her life.

You can see that a little TLC and lots of love has helped Ellie May blossom into a beautiful girl! Her head shot was taken just after she got a drink of water. She loves to submerge her head in the water bucket and slurp from the bottom! She is only 1.5 yrs. old and a beautiful deep red in color.

Ellie May is good with other dogs, and children (older only due to her size). She will need a country home and must have a fenced yard due to her hunting instincts.

Ellie May is spayed, UTD on all shots, HW negative and on preventative.

She will be transported from Tennessee to the NE via Alpha Dog Transport upon adoption. They charge $125 for their services. They will also hand off all vet records at that time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie May, a Providence Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Providence, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Providence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Providence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Providence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Providence paves the way for another one to be saved.
