COOKIE's Story...
My entire life I’ve been labeled because of my breed. "She’s a Pitbull. She MUST be aggressive." Or, "She’s a Rottweiler. She MUST be unpredictable." I’ve lived my whole life just trying to be a good dog and it got me nowhere... I have now spent five years in and out of the shelter system through no fault of my own. Five years ago, I was found discarded and abandoned by my owner. I was picked up and brought to PAWS. After spending a year in a concrete and chain-link kennel, I was adopted by a wonderful family. I lived happily with them for three years, but, as the saying goes, "All good things..." Tragedy struck and my family was forced to return me as well as their other two dogs.

P.A.W.S Shelter and Humane Society is a non-profit organization and shelter for animals, serving central Texas. P.A.W.S. mission is to care fpr, protect and find homes for needy animals, to aid in the reduction of pet overpopulation and to provide community education for the mutual benefit of animals and people.

P.A.W.S. have 7 day a week adoptions at the Kyle location as well as off site adoptions. We currently visit PetSmart on Slaughter Lane as well as PetSmart in San Marcos. Please feel free to contact the shelter for any other off site events.
