Dottie's Story...
"Hi there everyone...if you are looking for one of the nicest and friendliest dogs around, and one that has the greatest smile and the cutest face, then look no further than my kennel. My name is DOTTIE and I would really, really love for us to meet each other. I'm just 1 1/2-years old and have the greatest markings that you have ever seen. Just wait until you see me! You might think you are seeing spots before your eyes, and you will be...because I have lots of them! I walk wonderfully while on the leash and I really enjoy going for walks. I absolutely love getting brushed with a nice soft brush, because I know that will keep my great looking coat (spots included) looking its best. I enjoy hugs and love those tummy rubs as well. Just like all the other animals here at the shelter, I too, am in need of a new forever home. I'd love to have a nice yard, where I could get my exercise and enjoy myself, and then have a comfy and snuggly dog bed of my very own in the house, so that I could be close to my person or my family. My hair is nice and short, so you know that I am one of those easy-care ladies. I enjoy my quiet time too, and would love to sit close to you and just relax. I'd do best in a home with older children, and I'd probably get along best with other dogs that are on the larger side. When you visit our shelter, just ask our friendly Shelter Staff to introduce you to the wonderful dog whose name is DOTTIE, and who knows...we just might discover that we are meant to be together "FUR"EVER!!!!! I am over the top in love with people, and I'll be watching and waiting for you. Help me make my dreams come true for a new forever home with you. Come on over to our shelter and let's have some fun. See you soon. Love, Dottie." Kennel #46

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dottie, a El Cajon Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
