Janet's Story...
Janet was born under a bush in Mayfair with her brother, Jack. The neighbors fed Mom and kept an eye on the little ones. Once the kittens started to move around they were concerned that the kittens would wander to the street. The babies were an easy catch but Mom was a little different. A trap was set for her and it did not take too long for her to be on her way to a warm, dry house to continue to raise her kids.
Janet had an eye infection when she was little. She was treated. She has limited vision in her right eye and it is hazed over/ She is spay, tested NEG for FIV & FELK and up to date on her vax.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Janet, a Philadelphia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
