found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered and up to date with shots.
This super cute photo of him on the chair is deceptive. He is a super cute cat that is true but he is not as small as he looks here. He is about 10 pounds and has the bluest eyes in the darkest seal face. But he is not a kitten--it must be a trick of the camera that makes him look so young.. However, Ragdolls continue growing in size into the second half of their third y ears so he may still be a growing boy.
He was owner surrendered. His family loved him but could not afford to keep him. It is hard when your hours are cut and you still have to make ends meet. Such a familiar story in these hard times. They approached a cat rescuer at a Petco kitten fair and she contacted us. And aren't we lucky!!
When he arrived he spent about a week hiding under his table until he settled in with us. Today he was very friendly to me winding about my legs love love love. Pet me pet me. He is super affectionate. That abruptly stopped when I went to pick him up . He felt that was entirely too forward of me at this time. His last owners held him easily so I expect he will be fine when he really knows his new humans. So we went back to petting.
I am always telling people that most Ragdolls don't take change easily. They are not what I call "wash and wear cats". Ragdolls are super sensitive and loyal to their family or their special human.
Over time. a month or two or more they adapt and settle in. but they need that time. I would wish for him a fairly quiet, happy home. He would be a great companion for empty nesters or a single person. I have not seen him be particularly friendly to other cats so I think it would be best to set him up as an only cat. Perhaps with the right introduction he could enjoy a gentle, good natured kitty. I don't know about dogs.
I will write more when I know him better.
He is born to be a companion and someone or some family will be so lucky to have his loving company. And of course he is a delight to the eyes.
He eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz/
