My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Samuel: 3 yr old male declawed silver shaded persian

This nice guy arrived with his coat very hacked up as you can see since his family cut off his matts ( and some of his skin ) with scissors just before giving him to us.. The picture they emailed me originally is at the bottom and shows him in full coat. He is a beautiful boy and soon his coat will grow in. I have no understanding what happened in his family that caused so much change. Someone bought him as a kitten and we have his price and breeder's papers. I can see he was neutered on the very day he was sold 11/9/2009. which seems a little tough. Anyway he was then declawed and, I think, loved. since he is a very loving little boy. Samuel is a really nice cat. He is not the demanding little emperor that some ( most ) silvers are.

A cat rescuer was approached by a crying woman at a Petco Kitten Fair and asked if she could help by taking her cats. The rescuer contacted us and ultimately two cats came to me. The other cat is a dilute calico tabby girl, quite tiny and very sweet. I will adopt her with Samuel if his new family wants both friends together. The previous owner's problem was a housing and financial issue. Familiar story.

So here we have a three year old super nice boy who needs a new home.
He is people friendly and I expect cat friendly. We wormed him today and he took a pill like a dream. so easy. I ,personally, love that in a cat. He eats wet and dry foot and is litter box perfect. He is a healthy, solid, surprisingly heavy little guy. Samuel is an easy cat something which can rarely be said of a silver shaded Persian. I did however carry him into another room today for photo shoot and he strongly objected. It scared him . I have only had him 48 hours ( it is 9/25 ) so it was probably too much too soon for him. He was friendly from minute one but perhaps I surprised him by moving him so nonchalantly.

I will write more when I know him better. And I will get new photos, probably taken in his own room.

Someone will be very lucky to have the companionship of this lovely young boy.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
