BLACKY's Story...
Little Blacky was living outside of the VFW post. She was dumped there, but wearing a little pink collar with a tag that said "Blacky" and no phone number. This little orphan is friendly and playful. She has a lot of personality. She is not shy and likes to get love and attention. Her fur is black and short. She has expressive green eyes that give sweet looks. Blacky is still not fully grown - she's an older kitten, about 6 - 8 months old. She's been tested for Feline Aids, Feline Leukemia and Heartworm and she doesn't have any of these. She was pronounced "healthy" by the vet. She has had her rabies shot and has been spayed. Blacky is quite a little character and will add pizzazz to any household.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BLACKY, a Naples Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Naples, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Naples.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naples already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naples breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naples paves the way for another one to be saved.
