About Our Rescue Group...
Capic is a group of volunteers who specialize in TNR (Trap Neuter Return). We are a 501C3 Accredited Charity. We gladly accept monetary donations as well as cat food, towels, supplies and bedding. New volunteers are always welcome.
We go into neighborhoods to help local residents
with the feral/free roaming cat problem, often times helping solve the unwanted cat/kitten problem by trap/neuter/spay/return and adoptions.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our local adoption events are held one Saturday per month at Belle Mead Animal Hospital, 872 US Highway 206, Hillsborough, NJ
Please contact us if you are interested in one of our pets and we can set up an appt. to have you meet.
Our Adoption Process...
We require an adoption application be filled out before adopting. This will be furnished upon request. Our fees vary depending on if the pet is old enough for spay/neuter and how much vetting was required according to it's age.
A contract must be signed agreeing to have the pet spayed and neutered if it is still to young at the time of adoption. We provide information about low cost spay / neuter options.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We are located in Central New Jersey and do cat rescue mainly in Somerset, Middlesex and Hunterdon Counties.
We do not have a shelter or building, but are a foster based network woh can foster a limited quantity of cats. We hold monthly adoption days at Belle Mead Animal Hospital and pets can be seen at our foster homes by appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tootsie, a Raritan Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Raritan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Raritan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Raritan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Raritan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Raritan paves the way for another one to be saved.
