Hitch's Story...
What would you do if you were a homeless and lonely kitty looking to hitch a ride to our nice warm shelter?? How about lying down in the middle of the road and waiting for a nice family to come along and pick you up. Although it isn’t what we would recommend, that is exactly how Hitch got here. We give our newest resident two thumbs up but since he doesn’t have opposable thumbs he had to try a different tactic to get here. He also needed a little help writing this message for you: FOREVER HOME OR BUST!!! Hitch has been neutered, combo tested negative and is up to date with his regular shots. If you are interested in meeting Hitch or other cats/kittens in our care waiting for a home, please call 508-695-4707 (leave a message if need be!). Paws of Plainville, Inc. is dedicated to helping the homeless cats in the local area. We are an all volunteer, nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible and can be sent to P.O. Box 2236, Plainville, MA 02762. For more information, please visit us at www.pawsofplainville.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hitch, a Plainville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Plainville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Plainville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainville paves the way for another one to be saved.
