Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Jack, and I’m a beautiful beagle boy. I came from a shelter in Ohio, and I was owner surrender. The shelter was told that there were too many dogs in the house, but they don’t know much else. My foster mama and dad don't know how a family could give me up because I am gorgeous, and I look as if I was well cared for. I have beautiful, shiny fur and I weigh about 26 lbs. I’m lean and fit and get complimented often for my strikingly good looks. I’m modest too!
Since I’m young, I love to play and wrestle though my foster mama says I have really good manners considering my age. There are several other dogs in the house and I get along well with most of them. I’m not the alpha pup, but I’m also not a pushover. I do love to play with another young beagle girl in the house, who is also up for adoption. We hang out all the time together and run and play in the big backyard. I love all kinds of chew toys, bones, and ropes. I also love my evening walks though I’m still working on learning how to walk properly on a leash. My foster mama still gets wrapped up with the leash while I’m learning to walk in a straight line, but she thinks I’m improving since we walk every day. She uses a harness to keep me safe since I’ve recently discovered my nose and I’m pulling a bit harder. I’m not really a hunting dog and I only get excited about rabbits and squirrels if another pup gets excited first.
One thing you need to know is that I have a thunderous bark, so I would not be suited to an apartment or condo. Now that I’m getting more comfortable, I’m discovering my voice and using it more often. There are no children or cats in my current home, so my foster mama doesn’t know how I would do with either of them. Since I’m pretty gentle with a low prey drive, she thinks I would probably be ok, however. I’d really love a house with another dog or someone with enough time to shower me with love and teach me some tricks and manners.
