ChaCha's Story...

ChaCha is a beautiful brown tabby with white DSH female that was born approximately 06/23/2012.  She and her littermates Anna, Beau, Luna, Mambo, Minuet, Soileil and Tango along with their mom Geneva were rescued by a good Samaritan.

ChaCha is being fostered with her sister Anna who often takes the lead.  She is more cautious than her sister but is learning to trust.  ChaCha is also fostered with two older cats and three large dogs.  She loves the dogs and rubs on them every chance she gets.  She likes to hunt her toy mice, play with strings as well as playing with her sister and older cats.  ChaCha would do well in a home with other cats and dogs.

ChaCha is in a foster home and her adoption fee is $110.

About Our Rescue Group...

New Beginnings Cat Rescue (NBCR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit group. Founded in 2005, NBCR is an all volunteer, no-kill cat rescue dedicated to rescuing cats from euthanasia at Local city shelters. We are foster based and are the "in-store" cat rescue for PetSmart, located at George Bush Freeway and North Garland Avenue in Garland, Texas.

NBCR is dedicated to alleviating the crisis and tragedy of unwanted and abandoned cats, with an emphasis on addressing cat overpopulation issues and educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering.

With respect and compassion for all cats, New Beginnings Cat Rescue promotes lifelong relationships between people and animals, providing foster care for each precious life until adopted into a good home. We strive to work with animal control and other rescue groups to save homeless cats in our community.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We have cats for adoption at our center in the PetSmart at Hwy 190 and N. Garland Avenue in Garland, Texas. You can visit them during our scheduled adoption events every Saturday from 11-4 pm and Sunday from 12-4 pm. Come see us!
Our Adoption Process...
Our focus is to place animals in loving, permanent homes where they will be cared for responsibly. Potential adopters or fosters are screened, up to and including home visits. We reserve the right to refuse placement of an animal for any reason. We thank you for understanding.

Adopters must be 21 years or older and willing to invest the time and money required to care for a pet. In addition to providing love and attention, regular medical care is required. Please ask if you would like more information about veterinary fees and costs.

Our animals come from a variety of situations. Some have been dumped at shelters or vets, and many are ill or malnourished when rescued. Although the animal has been in a protected environment, there is the possibility of unrecognized illness appearing after an adoption is finalized, especially because of the stress the animal may experience during the first few days at its new home. We advise adopters of the animal's known history and provide its veterinary records, but frequently we know only what the animal chooses to tell us. We cannot make any guarantee regarding the long-term health of any animal. Adoption fees are generally not refundable unless prior arrangements are made.

If you feel that you are ready to adopt, please e-mail info@nbcrtx.org for prompt attention. A NBCR adoption counselor will contact you to arrange an interview.
