Lucas's Story...
Hi my name is Lucas! I am a 4 1/2 mth old male German Shepherd/Setter mix. HNH rescued me from a hoarding situation in San Bernardino and took me under there wing. I have been with the HNH family for 2 months and am really looking forward to my very own furever home. I am house/crate trained, walk well on leash, know my basic commands and play with other dogs. With new dogs I do need a slow introduction as I am shy. I do love my walks but am also a couch potatoe. Lucas is neutered, current on shots and micro-chipped. He is currently being fostered in Monrovia, CA. Contact Lorna at Lorna@hopenheroes.com. Adoption/donation fee and home inspection required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucas, a Torrance Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Torrance, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
